Insane Clown Posse have revealed that Jack White asked to produce them.
The former White Stripes star's track with the group, 'Leck Mick Im Arsch', is due to be released on September 13.
Insane Clown Posse's Violent J said White approached them after meeting in an airport.
The most respected musician in the world and one of the most hated musicians in the world. We didn't expect that call, brother,” he told Billboard.
“I told him, 'I gotta know - why us?'. He said, 'I find myself going to your web site and looking at it. Some stuff I think is genius, some stuff I don't understand at all, but I always find myself going back there and seeing what you're up to.”
'Leck Mich Im Arsch', which you can hear above, has received a mixed reception from fans and critics.
It will be released as a 7” single and digital download via iTunes. One-hundred Tri-color versions of the single will also be available at Third Man Rolling Record Store at the MI Fest in Brooklyn.
