The search term 'Amy Winehouse dead' was the most searched subject on Google this summer in the UK.
Thousands of internet users entered the key words into Google when the singer died suddenly last month at the age of 27.
The second most popular search was for Google+, the search engine's own social-networking service, which launched this summer.
Third was the online Harry Potter game 'Pottermore', while Jackass star Ryan Dunn's death was fourth.
In the world of celebrity, Harry Potter stars Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Daniel Radciffe proved hugely popular, but it was the Beckham family's latest addition, Harper Beckham, who came top.
