Richard Turner, a trumpet player who performed with Friendly Fires, has died at the age of 27.
Turner (not pictured) suffered a heart attack while swimming at the Herne Hill lido on August 11.
Lifeguards rescued the trumpet player from the pool and performed CPR but he later died at a hospital in South London, reports This Is London.
In a statement, Friendly Fires said Turner, who played with the band on and off for three years, was “an utterly exceptional musician and his contributions to our shows will be hugely missed”.
They also paid tribute to his compositions for his own band Round Trip.
“RIP to an unbelievable musician and friend,” Friendly Fires added.
