Muse frontman Matt Bellamy has reacted to the riots that have affected cities up and down the UK.
Scenes of violence and looting have dominated the headlines in recent days, as youths ransacked business in cities including London and Manchester.
On Twitter, Bellamy said the violence was “no Uprising”, seemingly referring to the band's song of the same name.
“A violent expression of unfairness in society or just dumb f*cks yearning for a hug from daddy? This is no Uprising,” he wrote.
He has joined a growing number of music stars who have spoken out about the riots on Twitter.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Beady Eye frontman Liam Gallagher's Pretty Green clothing store was among those looted during the riots in Manchester earlier this week.
