Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Kanye West and David Beckham are among a host of stars that have teamed up to raise awareness of famine in East Africa.
Over 150 big names from the world of music, fashion, culture and sport including Eminem, Britney Spears and Shakira are using their social media status today (August 9) to support Save The Children in raising funds for the famine crisis in East Africa.
All involved are promoting a short film by director Kevin MacDonald which includes Bob Marley & The Wailers' 1973 song “High Tide or Low Time”.
Speaking about the song choice, Bob Marley’s widow Rita Marley said: ''Not one child should be denied food nor water. Not one child should suffer. Along with Save the Children, we must stand up together as friends to put a stop to this, to feed our children and to save their lives."
