Motorhead guitarist Michael 'Wurzel' Burston has died at the age of 61.
The guitarist died on July 9 of cardiomyopathy, according to Variety.
Burston performed with a series of UK bands, including Warfare, before he joined Motorhead in 1984 after auditioning for the band.
He first appeared with the group on record on their hit 1984 song 'Killed By Death'.
He left the group in 1995 but later rejoined them for festival appearances.
Motorhead paid tribute to Wurzel during their performance at the Sonisphere festival on Sunday (July 10), reports STV.
"We'd like to dedicate this set and our lives to Würzel,” bassist Lemmy Kilminster said.
