Rihanna was forced to abandon a gig in Dallas after a fire broke out above the stage.
Video footage of the incident shows fire blazing from a row of lights at the American Airlines Center. Various reports claimed part of the singer’s set also caught fire.
Reuters reports that the fire brigade were called but that the fire had been extinguished before they arrived.
On Twitter after the incident, Rihanna said: "DALLAS!!! We set the stage on FYAH tonight!!! LITERALLY!!!...I was havin so much fun wit yall too!!! I gotta come back man!!"
She added: “DALLAS yall CRAY!!! Love this f*ckin place! Glad u guys are safe!!! I promise I'll be back!!! Heading into a production meeting to find out exactly what happened!!! Keep u posted.”
Rihanna was performing in Dallas as part of her Loud tour.
