Almost 70 per cent of festival-goers have admitted they are too tired to return to work on the Monday after a festival.
A survey, conducted by Holiday Inn Express, also found that 52 per cent of people are so tired they lose concentration when driving home from an event.
Two million Britons will attend festivals like Glastonbury, Isle Of Wight and Rockness this summer.
A total of 11.2 million work hours will be wasted the following day due to festival-goers' tiredness and fatigue.
Adrian Tink, Motoring Strategist from RAC said: "We always see queues and heavy traffic during the festival period. Long journeys and lack of sleep can be dangerous, as this often leads to loss of concentration.”
