Suede frontman Brett Anderson has paid tribute to the band's former manager, Ricky Gervais.
The comedian looked after the group before he launched his comedy career in programmes such as The Office and Extras.
In an interview with Shortlist, Anderson was asked whether he felt Gervais had the potential to become a huge star.
“Well, he was funny back then,” he said. The level of his success has been pretty stellar, but good luck to him — he’s a very charming and talented chap.
“He came to a show a few years ago, and it was nice to see him.”
