Kanye West delivered an emotional address as he played an intimate gig in New York on Tuesday (May 10).
The rapper spoke to the crowd at the end of his 45-minute performance at the Museum Of Modern Art's (MoMa) annual Party In The Garden, which also included a surprise appearance from Jay-Z.
Following a rendition of 'Runaway', West said: “Thank you for loving me when they told you not to love me.
“I’m sorry about anybody out there that had to fight for me. Do you know what it feels like to be hated, do you know what it feels like to be degraded?”
According to the New York Times, West's set included the songs 'Good Life', 'Hell Of A Life' and a cover of Stevie Wonder's 'They Won't Go When I Go'.
Jay-Z appeared at the end of West's set and the pair teamed up on joint single 'H.A.M', before Jay-Z performed his own single 'Empire State Of Mind'.
