Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood has been named Music Radio Personality of the Year at the Sony Radio Awards, beating the likes of Chris Moyles and Jarvis Cocker.
Wood claimed the award for his programme on Absolute Radio, but was denied the Rising Star Award by BBC Radio 5 live football pundit Robbie Savage.
The judges praised the guitarist for his "amazing character" and said he had creative a "really innovative programme".
Other winners included Jeremy Vine, who collected the award for Speech Broadcaster of the Year and Interview Of The Year for his meeting with former Prime Minister Gordon Brown.
BBC Radio 2's Simon Mayo Drivetime programme won best music programme, while Annie Nightingale won the Special Award for her 40 years of service at Radio 1.
