Deadmau5 'Punched In The Head' By DJ

Deadmau5 has claimed he was punched by a DJ after complaining about the quality of music he had been playing at an after party.

The altercation involving the Canadian producer – real name Joel Zimmermann – took place following Creamfields in Brisbane, Australian at the weekend.

It was apparently sparked after Zimmermann complained that the music at the event's after party was “f*cking god awful” on Twitter.

In a later message, he said: "birdee nightclub in Brisbane… opening DJ came at me later in the night and decided to punch me in the back of the head. #mistake"

He added: "Well the opening 'dj' at the club decided to have a go at me. So f*ck him and f*ck that club. I left."
