Adele's recent chart success has helped boost music market sales, it has been revealed.
The London singer who has had major success with new album '21' and debut '19' has accounted for one in every ten album sales in the first quarter of 2011.
Adele's '21' has given the music market a boost, contributing to 1.5% year-on-year album sales growth, reports Music Week.
Her recent album has now sold a total of 1.86 million copies, while her debut 19 has sold a further 465,829 copies.
Meanwhile, Adele has broken the record for the longest time at number one for any female on the UK album chart.
