Former Inspiral Carpets frontman Clint Boon has confirmed that ex-Stone Roses band mates Ian Brown and John Squire met up recently.
A tabloid report this morning said the band was considering reforming following the meeting at the funeral of band mate Mani's mother's funeral.
In a message on Twitter, Boon said: "It's true that Ian and John met recently. It was at Mani's mum's funeral. We all went back to a pub in Failsworth. Ian and John got on great.
“They spent a couple of hours chatting. All very relaxed, and that. Apart from that, I know nowt else. As a friend and a fan I do hope it happens."
Bassist Mani has also confirmed the meeting but rubbished reports that a band reunion is planned, reports NME.
