The Strokes have revealed that they will start work on their next album in April.
The band, who released fourth album 'Angles' this month, are already thinking about their next project.
''We were just talking about when we would get back together and start writing for the next album. It should be soon. April, mid-April," bassist Nikolai Fraiture told XFM.
As previously reported in Gigwise, in an recent interview with Shortlist magazine, the group hinted that it may not be the last batch of new songs fans hear from them in 2011.
“I think we’re going to start working on stuff as soon as possible. We were supposed to already, but it took longer than expected to master the album,''Julian Casablancas said.
My Chemical Romance, The Strokes, Muse and Pulp have been announced as headline acts for this year's Reading and Leeds festival.
