Lily Allen has said she feels “embarrassed” by a new TV documentary which follows the launch of her clothing store, Lucy In Disguise.
The Channel 4 programme, Riches To Rags, begins next week, but exerts have already been published, including one where Allen discusses her second miscarriage last November and eating disorder.
In a series of messages on Twitter, Allen said she felt the advance coverage of the show had been “totally sensationalised and quotes taken out of context”.
“We started filming it a year ago and I feel like a completely different person that the one that features in the programme,” she wrote.
“I'm inclined to ask you not to watch it cause quite frankly I am embarrassed.”
She added: “I should probably know better than to write this here but I feel its the only place that my words don't get minced. That is all.”
Lily Allen: From Riches To Rags starts on March 15 at 10pm on Channel 4.Channel
