Sir Elton John is set to debut a film about the making of his recent album with Leon Russell at the Tribeca Film Festival next month.
The film, directed by Cameron Crow, will open the 10th annual festival, which runs from April 20 - May 1.
Sir Elton, who struck up a friendship with Russell in the 1970s, will also perform at the festival, organisers announced.
"To have Elton, whose music transcends generations, perform... is an extraordinary gift," the festival's co-founder Jane Rosenthal said.
The full schedule for this year's Tribeca Film Festival will be announced in the coming weeks.
