Carl Barat has dismissed rumours that The Libertines will be playing at this year's Glastonbury festival.
The group, fronted by Carl Barat and Pete Doherty, reformed last year to headline the Reading and Leeds festival. The singer has now said that the band have no certain plans to do the same again.
''Getting back together at Reading & Leeds was more than I could ever imagine and made me understand and realise what an impact the band had on a generation,'' Barat told the Daily Star.
He added:“In time I would be keen to do it again but Pete Doherty and I are busy doing other things. It’s definitely not over between us, we’re just waiting for the right time. The next thing will be something special.”
Tickets for this year’s Glastonbury festival have already sold out.
