Carl Barat has said that he expects The Libertines to perform more gigs together.
Calls for the band to continue playing have intensified since the group reunited earlier this year to play the Reading and Leeds festivals.
"I think we're probably going to play a few more gigs," he told the blog Blogs.taz.de. "Playing the same sort of thing, but I wouldn't keep doing that.
“Every band is doing a reunion and we would never get together and do an 'Up The Bracket' tour for three years around the world."
Barat added that it was nice to have the option to start “a new chapter” in the band’s career.
The singer released his self-titled debut solo album earlier this year.
