Film composer Hans Zimmer's score for Inception has been nominated for a BAFTA.
The soundtrack, which features former Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr, is one of five films in the running for Best Original Score.
The others are AR Rahman, for 127 Hours; Danny Elfman, for Alice In Wonderland; John Powell, for How To Train Your Dragon; and Alenandre Desplat, for The King's Speech.
Marr was personally approached by Zimmer to work on the project, which he told Gigwise recently had been a “pleasure”.
Meanwhile, Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross's score for The Social Network is a surprising omission from the nominations.
The soundtrack for the Facebook inspired movie won a Golden Globe at the weekend.
Elsewhere, the BAFTA nominations were dominated by The King's Speech, which is up for Best Film alongside Black Swan, True Grit, Inception and The Social Network.
