Bookmakers have received a flurry of bets on Laura Marling to win Best British Female at the BRIT Awards next month.
The singer's odd have been cut from 5/2 to 7/4 to take the prize behind last year's Critic' Choice winner Ellie Goulding.
Bookies William Hill also said they have received a string of three figure bets for The Wanted to win Best British Single.
The band are now 2/1 favourite to win the prize, while Mumford & Sons are 4/6 favourites to scoop Best British Album ahead of Take That and Plan B.
“Our two biggest BRIT liabilities at the moment are The Wanted and Laura Marling,” spokesman Joe Crilly told Gigwise.
“Should they win we could be facing a real Marling mauling.”
As previously reported on Gigwise, Tinie Tempah leads the way in the nominations for this year’s BRIT Awards, with four nods.
The ceremony takes place at London’s O2 Arena on February 15. It will be hosted by James Corden.
