The Strokes have confirmed that their new album will be released on March 22.
Bassist Nikolai Fraiture made the announcement on his Facebook page after reports began circulating online yesterday (January 11).
“Yes! You read right...March 22nd!!” he wrote. “Looking forward to playing the new songs live.”
The band's as-yet-untitled fourth album features ten songs and is currently in the mixing stage.
Fraiture recently confirmed that the group intended to embark on a world tour in support of the album later this year.
The Strokes' last album 'First Impressions Of Earth' was released in 2006.
