Eminem is set to revive his acting career in the movie Southpaw, it's been announced.
The rapper, who made his screen debut in the self-styled 8 Mile in 2002, will play a boxer whose rising career is dealt a setback due to tragedy.
The movie will follow Eminem's characters bid to reclaim past glory, reports Deadline.
Southpaw will be produced by Eminem's Shady Films' managers and producing partners Paul Rosenberg and Stuart Parr, and Riche Productions.
Producer Kurt Sutter will write the screenplay. The movie has yet to be given a release schedule.
