Happy Mondays star Shaun Ryder has been bitten by a snake on I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here.
 
Ryder and MP Lembit Opik, who was also bitten, both received deep puncture wounds to their hands.

The pair sustained the bite during a challenge that involved putting their hands into a pot containing non-venomous tree pythons.

A source told The Sun: “Shaun was great - he looked really shocked and started swearing at the snake that he would bash it.”

Ryder, who pulled out of Gorillaz UK tour to take part on the reality show, has proved to be a surprise hit with viewers.
