The singer is one of twelve celebrities rumoured to be appearing on the show, which starts this weekend.
He told the Daily Star: "I dunno why I'm doing this. I've lost the plot. People will see a new side to me. I'm a family man now."
The official line-up for this year's contestants has yet to be confirmed, but former MP Lembit Opik and TV actor Nigel Havers are also reportedly set to appear.
Other celebrities include X Factor star Stacey Solomon, Gail Porter and Britt Ekland. The series will once again be hosted by Ant and Dec.
