Quincy Jones has said there are no similarities between him and Kanye West.
The producer made the comment when in an interview with Us magazine whether he felt he had anything in common with the rapper .
“No way. Did he write for a symphony orchestra? Does he write for a jazz orchestra? Come on, man,” Jones said.
“He’s just a rapper. There’s no comparison. I’m not putting him down or making a judgement or anything, but we come from two different sides of the planet.”
Jones was then asked what he thought of West, and replied: “I don’t think about him much. He’s a great rapper, but there are a lot of good rappers.”
West released his new album 'My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy' this week.
Meanwhile, a La Roux-featuring song thought to be taken from the rapper's forthcoming joint album with Jay-Z has emerged online.
