Sir Paul McCartney has praised Kings Of Leon and claimed that music is better today that it was at the height of The Beatles fame.
The singer, who also spoke fondly of Plan B, said the public were lucky to have such a good mix of music to listen to.
"I think there's a lot of great music around, I really do,” he told The Sun.
"You get someone going, 'Oh, it's not like it was in my day!' I say, 'No, it's different. It isn't like it was in your day. And actually some of it is better.'
Sir Paul added: “I like Kings Of Leon, I think they're really cool. I like Plan B, he's good. He has really got it, you know, a good singer, man."
The former Beatle is currently promoting the reissue of Wings' classic album 'Band On The Run'.
