Although its hard to believe, before the likes of Paul McCartney and David Bowie hit the top of the charts, they all came from humble beginnings.
Only this week it emerged that Beatles fans have begun stealing bricks from the former home of drummer Ringo Starr before it is demolished.
And such is the demand to maintain rock star's legacies, a Starr lookalike has even launched a campaign to try and save the property.
So to celebrate, Gigwise has taken a look at some of the properties where the aforementioned stars started out. You'll also find the childhood homes of Sting and George Harrison.
