Tickets for next year’s Glastonbury Festival sold out in four hours today (October 3).
Fans flooded websites and phone lines in a bid to secure tickets for the festival, which takes place from June 24-26.
In a statement, organisers acknowledged that the high demand for tickets meant some fans had missed out on tickets.
“We're very sorry to those of you who didn't get tickets, and acknowledge there were some issues with the website/phoneline due to the sheer volume of people trying to get through,” they said.
“We wish there was a way to fit everyone in who wanted to come.”
No acts have so far been announced for next year's festival, but organiser Michael Eavis has confirmed that all three headliners have been secured.
The festival’s founder said he would reveal the identity of this year’s Pyramid Stage performers after tickets had sold out.
