MGMT: 'Jedward Are Prettier Than Us'

MGMT have described Jedward as “great guys” and joked that the Irish twins are “prettier than us”.

The band met the brothers John and Edward Grimes at an awards ceremony in Ireland earlier this year.

In an interview with ZaneLowe.com, singer Andrew VanWyngarden joked that they now wanted to produce Jedward's next album.

“It was so random. I'd just heard of Jedward the day before, so I was on the Jedward buzz,” the singer said.

“We're producing their ambient techno [album]...”

Asked what they thought of the X Factor stars, VanWyngarden said: “They're crazy. They're great guys from what I can tell. They're prettier than us.”

MGMT have just completed a UK tour, which included with two gigs in London on September 29 and 30.
