Mendip District Council have raised concerns about overcrowding at this year's Glastonbury festival in Somerset.
The event, which took place at Worthy Farm in June, was attended by around 180,000 festival-goers and 30,000 staff.
In its annual report on the festival, the council said that "subjectively the site felt extremely busy".
They also highlighted the popularity of the Shangri La and Block Nine areas after acts on the main stage had finished, and said that as a result free-flowing crowd movement was impossible.
Councillors also recommended that extra entertainment should be provided for festival-goers who arrive early, reports BBC News.
But the council added that the festival, which was headlined by Gorillaz, Stevie Wonder and Muse, had been an “unqualified success”.
Meanwhile, tickets for next year's Glastonbury festival will go on sale on October 3.
