The Download festival will pay tribute to Ronnie James Dio and Stuart Cable, who have both recently died.
Organisers said a video message remembering the late musicians would air at 8pm (BST) today (June 11).
The festival takes place in Donington until Sunday (June 13).
The video will enable “fans to pay their respects and to mark the loss of such treasured icons of the rock and metal world”, they added.
The tribute will also feature Slipknot’s Paul Gray, who died in May.
Cable was found dead at his South Wales home on Monday, while former Black Sabbath star Dio also died last month.
Download will feature headline performances from AC/DC, Aerosmith and Rage Against The Machine.
