Gorillaz have given away their new album ‘The Fall’ as a Christmas Day present for fans.
The album, recorded using an iPad during the band’s recent US tour, is available now from Gorillaz.com.
Described as a “sonic journal”, the album was produced by the band and Stephen Sedgwick.
Singer Damon Albarn said recording ‘The Fall’ had been a “fantastic way” to overcome the repetitiveness of touring.
"I found working in the day, whether it's in the hotel or in the venue, it was a brilliant way of keeping myself well,” he added.
A physical released for the album is planned in the New Year. Gorillaz also released the album 'Plastic Beach' earlier this year.
