Poison singer Bret Michaels has said his recent brain haemorrhage “sounded like a handgun”. Michaels has been advised to rest for four to six weeks. It is not clear when he will be able to resume touring.
Michaels, 47, was rushed to hospital last month suffering from a severe headache.
Doctors still don’t know the cause of the singer’s hemorrhage, but said he was expected to make a full recovery.
In an interview with People magazine, Michaels said he believed “it just wasn’t my time yet”.
"As painful as this experience has been, I was given a second chance, right?" he said.
"I don't want to sit around every night worrying this is going to happen again."
He added that a brain haemorrhage was “definitely not a rock star way to go out”.
