A Nordic metal night in North London has fallen victim to the Icelandic volcano ash which has caused major disruption at UK airports.
The Ja Ja Ja Metal night at The Lexington, curated by Metal Hammer editor Alexander Milias, has been cancelled as two of the bands - Iceland's Solstafir and Norway's Vreid – can't fly into the UK.
The 11 kilometre volcanic ash cloud sweeping across Britain has grounded all flights to and from the country over safety fears.
Despite the gig cancellation, the third act on the bill, the aptly named Thunderstone from Norway, will now play a free show at The Lexington.
Those with tickets to the Ja Ja Ja show will be able to retain them for the re-scheduled Metal night or will be able to apply for a refund.
Doors for the Thunderstone gig open at 9pm.
