It has been reported that Michael Jackson is considering erecting a 50ft robotic replica of himself in Las Vegas.

Jacko is apparently considering the idea to coincide with a proposed regular show in the gambling capital.

The structure has been designed by Andre Van Pier and will be erected in the desert where it will feature shooting laser beams, visible from incoming flights.

The designer has also drawn out a sketch featuring a stage set that acts like a giant video game that audience can use to control human cyborgs.

Mike Luckman, joint partner at Luckman Von Pier, told the New York Daily News:  "Michael's looked at the sketches and likes them."

He added: "It would be in the desert sands. Laser beams would shoot out of it so it would be the first thing people flying in would see… Neon is wonderful, but it's old school."

Michael Jackson is currently living in Nevada City. According to his spokesperson Raymone Bain, the star is under negotiations for a residency in Las Vegas.
