Get the oven on – there’s such a beef brewing between Kanye West and Jay-Z that you could roast it and eat it for Sunday lunch after it was reported that the former has left the latter’s Tidal music streaming service following a dispute over money.

TMZ reports that Kanye’s unhappiness stems from two ongoing problems. Firstly, his album, The Life Of Pablo, resulted in 1.5m new subscribers to the Tidal streaming service. He was supposed to have been paid a bonus for this but he’s still waiting for the money. Secondly, West claims that Tidal haven’t reimbursed him for the videos he made to accompany the album. It’s reported that he’s claiming $3m.

Tidal has responded by saying that West never delivered the videos required by the contract. They’ve also threatened to sue him if he tries to release new music on another platform. Kanye has said that he’ll deliver the videos if he’s paid what he’s owed.

Things have been simmering between the pair for some time. Last November, the day before he was committed to a medical centre for temporary psychosis, West stopped a concert in Sacramento and said: "Jay-Z, I know you got killers. Please don't send them at my head. Please call me, talk to me like a man."

Jay-Z seemingly appears to hit back at Kanye on the song, ‘Kill Jay Z’, the opening track of his new album, 4:44: "You dropped outta school, you lost your principles / But you ain't the same, this ain't KumbaYe / But you got hurt because you did cool by Ye / You gave him $20 million without thinkin' / He gave you 20 minutes on stage, fuck was he thinkin’? 'Fuck wrong with everybody?' is what you sayin' / But if everybody's crazy, you're the one that's insane."
