The National have shared a second track from their forthcoming new record Sleep Well Beast, which is set for release on September 8. Check out ‘Guilty Party’ below.

The band announced the new album last month, with the release of lead single ‘The System Only Dreams In Total Darkness’ and a string of  UK tour dates in September. Now, after a bit of online teasing, the second single ‘Guilty Party’ has been unveiled.

A number of new tracks have also made their way into recent live shows. Most recently, the band played Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage where they previewed new material - though some classics were scrapped from the setlist.

Speaking of the recording of new material, the band said: “A lot of songs are going in completely different directions. But that’s a really fun place to be. We’re in the middle of the wilderness, in a rainforest full of really fun noises.”

Following the release of Sleep Well Beast, the band will play shows in Cork, Dublin, Edinburgh and Manchester - along with and a four-night residency at the Hammersmith Apollo in London.
