  • The Black Keys vs. Nickelback: At the start of 2012, The Black Keys blamed the death of rock and roll on the likes of Nickelback, and the people who had allowed them to become one of the biggest rock bands in the world. Nickelback then 'thanked' The Black Keys for calling them the biggest band in the world, and recently The Black Keys 'apologised' to Nickelback for the comments.

"There's much worse bands than Nickelback. Maybe," said Patrick Carney of the band, "I don't like bad music, but look, I've got a lot of friends and not one of them has a Nickelback record."

Elton John and his partner David Furnish added fuel to their feud with Madonna after Furnish called Madonna's win at the Golden Globe's a “fluke.”

Taking to Facebook, the Canadian film-maker wrote: "Madonna. Best song???? F*ck off!!!"

Elton John had previously said Madonna had “no f*cking chance of wining” an award, continuing a war of words that had started at the 2004 Q Magazine Awards when Madonna took home the prize for Best Live Act.
