Lady Gaga is attempting to grow anticipation for her opening performance at this month's MTV VMA Awards by releasing a trailer. Watch the clip below.
The trailer sees a gang of 'graffiti' artists, some of whom in Gaga masks, descend upon the streets of New York to plaster walls with images of the Fame star along with the words 'No sleep til Gaga'.
The US singer rush-released her new single 'Applause' last week after online leaks, but was beaten to the UK No.1 by Ellie Goulding with her new single 'Burn'. The single has also been surpassed in America by the new Katy Perry single, 'Roar', which is believed to have sold double the copies shifted by Gaga.

The MTV VMA Awards will take place on 25 August and will also see performances from the likes of Kanye West and Justin Timberlake. Daft Punk are also confirmed to appear but it is unclear whether or not they will be performing.
