Amy Winehouse has formed a new band with The Roots drummer ?uestlove.
The singer will front the as-yet-unnamed group, which also features producer Raphael Saadiq.
?uestlove said he and Winehouse had been discussing the project over Skype, but that the star's visa troubles were causing problems when it came to recording.
"It's just the closest she can come to the States is Jamaica,” he told The Sun.
"I'm off to France soon so I'll see if she's up for discussing it over dinner. We're Skype-ing the shit out of each other."
As previously reported on Gigwise, Winehouse has also been working on the follow-up to her 2006 album 'Back To Black'.
Her father Mitch has been quoted as saying that the record will arrive in time for Christmas.
