David Bowie's Space Oddity For Moon Landing Anniversary Re-Release

The EP is out on July 20...

A special EP version of David Bowie's seminal track 'Space Oddity' will be released on July 20 – the 40th anniversary of Neil Armstrong stepping foot on the moon.

The EP collection features four different versions of the track, which also celebrated its 40th anniversary earlier this year.

When fans buy it, they'll also receive eight original song stems/multi-tracks for free which will enable them to remix the tracks on their computer or through the iPhone application iKlax.

'Space Oddity' is lifted from Bowie's breakthrough album of the same name and was released in February 1969, five months before the Apollo 11 moon landing.

The song was used extensively during the BBC's coverage of the historic day and later scooped an Ivor Novello award.

The Space Oddity EP track listing is as follows:

1. Space Oddity (original UK mono single edit)
2. Space Oddity (US mono single edit)
3. Space Oddity (US stereo single edit)
4. Space Oddity (1979 re-record)
