The Beastie Boys have revealed the first details of their new album, the follow up to 2007's 'Mix Up'.
In a message to fans on Monday (May 25), the trio wrote: "Our new record that is coming out that we finished the other day is called Hot Sauce Committee."
The MC's have been working on the record since autumn 2007, when Ad Rock told Billboard of the material: "It's a lot of vocals, a lot of words -- very wordy.
“And it's political, depending on what you call political. You know, if toilet talk and fart jokes are political, which they can be, in that sense yeah, very."
The band will play several festivals this summer including shows at Lollapalooza, Austin Vity Limits, All Points West and Bonnaroo.
