Eminem is on target to sell as many as 650,000 copies of his new album 'Relapse' in just seven days, it's been revealed.
The US sales figures mean the rapper should comfortably claim the number one spot on the Billboard Top-200 chart.
'Relapse', which was released in the UK on Monday and America on Tuesday, is the rapper's first studio album since 2004's 'Encore'.
'Encore' sold 711,000 copies in its opening week in the US, but benefited from an extended sales period after it leaked online.
To date, Eminem has sold 33.3million albums in the US, according to Neilson Soundscan.
As previously reported on Gigwise, the rapper marked 'Relapse's' release on Tuesday with a free show in Detroit.
The 30-minute gig was the rapper's first live performance since he cancelled his 2005 European tour in order to attend rehab.
