Amy Winehouse Wants To Play V Festival

Amy Winehouse looks set to play this year's V Festival after her spokeswoman confirmed that she wants to play the event.

Winehouse has been on extended vacation in St. Lucia since December as she attempts to beat her drug addictions and get over her split from husband Blake Fielder-Civil.

Earlier this month she took to the stage at the Caribbean island's St. Lucia Jazz Festival for her first performance in eight months - but was forced to abandon her set after a downpour.

Critics later reported she was drunk on stage and forgot the words to her songs.

But the singer's spokeswoman insists Winehouse is back on form - and intent on a number of high-profile performances this summer.

The rep says, "She intends to play some summer festivals, particularly the V Festival because her manager runs it."

But friends of the star are less confident of her return to the stage, with one pal telling Britain's Sunday Express, "She knocked the drugs on the head but replaced them with alcohol."
