Girls Aloud are in talks to support Coldplay when the band perform at London's Wembley Stadium next year, according to reports.
The girl group are said to be close to agreeing a deal which will see them join Jay-Z as a warm up act for the band on September 19th.
A source told the Sun newspaper: “Coldplay are huge pop fans. They love Take That and all the mainstream chart stuff.
“Girls Aloud are the ideal support group. They will get the Wembley crowd worked up into a frenzy before the main attraction.
“[Frontman] Chris Martin is a fan and had them on his wishlist from the start of tour plans.”
Coldplay's concert at Wembley is part of a three-date stadium tour which will also include performances in Manchester and Glasgow.
Jay-Z is already confirmed as one of the support acts for each night.
Tickets for the tour are on sale now and available through Gigwise here.
