Take That’s 2009 summer stadium dates – The Circus – have become the fastest selling tour in UK history.
The boy band, who reformed in 2005, sold 600,000 tickets in less than five hours yesterday (October 31st).
Such was the demand to see them, that organisers were forced to twice add additional dates – the newest additions increasing their residency in Manchester to five nights.
The band will also now play four nights at London’s Wembley Stadium next July.
Take That said they were “once again, totally astounded by the response” from their fans.
“We feel very privileged to be in this position at such a time. We're all meeting up ... to start planning next summer and promise to make it the very best show we've ever done,” they added.
Take That are due to release their new alum, ‘The Circus’, on December 1st.
