The release of charity War Child's 'Heroes' compilation has been delayed until next year after more musicians expressed an interest in working on the project.
The album had been expected on November 22nd but will not be released next February.
"We have been overwhelmed and amazed by the response to the project," a statement read.
"The wealth of talent who have contacted us wishing to support the charity and contribute to the album is humbling and we are delighted to have been able to change our deadlines to accommodate some of them. It was impossible to say no."
The album offers legendary musicians the opportunity to choose a modern day star to reimagine one of their songs.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Sir Paul McCartney, Duffy, Rufus Wainwright and Brian Wilson are all due to feature on the record.
