Garry Glitter will be freed from a Vietnamese jail later this month, according to reports.
The disgraced singer is expected to walk free on August 19th, although police officials at the prison declined to confirm the date.
Glitter was sentenced to three years in prison in March 2006 for molesting two girls aged eleven and twelve.
The singer, who had been held in custody since November 2005, saw his sentence cut last year under a national amnesty.
In 1999, Glitter was given a four month jail sentence after he was convicted of possessing child pornography.
Previous reports have claimed that Glitter plans to revive his music career following his release.
