Fall Out Boy linchpin Pete Wentz has followed in the footsteps of Arcade Fire’s Win Butler nad backed Barack Obama in his campaign to become the next President of the USA.
Wentz has announced that he will next week host a fundraising event for the Democrat candidate in Chicago.
Speaking about his support for the Senator of Illinois Wentz said: “I’ve been an Obama supporter from day one.
“After watching the New Hampshire primary, I couldn’t just be an observer anymore – I had to act.
“Barack is the first politician who’s ever made me feel like our voices actually matter.”
The fundraiser will take place next Tuesday (January 22) from 7pm-9pm at the Lakeview Broadcasting Company.
